Wellington's hardest day

Against the French, the allied army established itself in strong positions to prevent it. Masséna launched her troops to avenge imperial pride, and tried for 3 days to break the allied line. He was about to get it. This battle was in which Wellington was closest to defeat in the entire war.

The French had been maneuvering with skill for more than a month, to the point that they had pushed back the Allies from the banks of the Duero. Wellington would be forced to return to Portugal if he failed to win a decisive victory. Marmont knew it. Would the Earl be able to go on the offensive?

Across two countries

This battle is singular due to take place on the very frontier. We will visit Spanish and Portuguese locations.

““Fantastic visit to the battlefield. Raúl is a great battlefield guide, with a complete knowledge of the terrain and the facts and who makes a visit that lasted just over 4 hours very enjoyable. With his explanations, he allows himself to be put in context of the facts and see first-hand the accidents of the terrain, something impossible to do on a map. A highly recommended visit for any fan of the Napoleonic era, and for those who are not familiar with the subject, a very good opportunity to learn about our history and spend a pleasant morning.”
